In the beginning of my running journey I was 14-15 years old, I would run to my closest friends house which was 5km away I did this every week for a while. I enjoyed it more then biking for some reason at the time so I stuck with it as my friends family where quite impressed it sprouted more ideas. This idea was a marathon.
I decided that I would do a marathon before I turned 17 so I did 6-7 months of steady training 30 mile week at maximum. I didn't sign up for one as there where none in the right time scale or availability to get there so I made my own. I ran from Bridlington to Malton taking me 4hrs 25mins it was amazing a true feeling that I liked but after the marathon I took a long break.
2 years went by and I got quite busy with work, college and more and my life was happy but I missed running, so September 2025 came by and I started running again just a few 10ks and it was good, setting a new PB. I thought to myself soon after running again I don't have a goal. So this is where the coast to coast came in something so difficult to the point I question if it's possible, this filled my heart with excitement. Just thinking of doing something so hard, a real test of my limits and it fit so well the fact I could do it before I turn 19.
